Program:

1:00pm            Introduction and tour the Host Nursery – T. Olczyk & H. Mayer, UF/IFAS Miami-Dade Co. Extension

1:30pm            Rotate between 2 BMP stations:

1. Irrigation Systems: 

·         learn how to check irrigation system uniformity

·         Determine amount of water applied and reduce amount of leaching from containers

2. Testing water and substrates:

·         Learn how to take substrate (media) samples for Electric Conductivity                            and pH and collect water samples

·         Sample plant tissue for nutrient analysis
